Important Tip The following products are accesories for heat presses. If you like, you can skip this page of your tour by clicking the "Next" or "Back" button located at the top or bottom of the page.

To us, "transfer accessories" are almost "efficiency necessities". Teflon pad protectors allow you to quickly slide goods on and off your press, instead of lifting them. Teflon sheets keep fabric and sublimation dyes off your heating head. Having different sized cap platens help reduce loss from wrinkles or stretching, while the Teflon blanket bracket for the B-250 cap press makes the job so much easier and reduces loss. Your machine will last longer than the rubber pad. Replacing it after years of heavy use is wise. The choice is yours, of course, but to us any accessory that saves time or money, is a great value.

Teflon Pad - This slips tightly onto the bottom platen of a heat press, like a mattress cover. The pad provides two useful benefits when imprinting garments.

First, it is very easy to slide garments on and off the press. It is very difficult to slide fabric across the heat resistant rubber on the bottom of a press. Second, the porous rubber on the bottom of a heat press has a tendency to collect dust, inks from colored shirts and other grunge.

Over time, this buildup can cause the backs of white shirts to look dingy. While it is difficult to clean the rubber, it is very easy to wipe off the Teflon pad.

Teflon Sheet - A single sheet of Teflon is used to place on top of your transfer and garment and is sized to completely cover everything on your lower platen. An upper Teflon sheet is one of those things that is better to have and not need it, than it is to need it and not have it.

First, the sheet keeps any possible dyes from colored garments and residue from your transfers from getting on the upper heater block. A heater block can be wiped off, but it is much easier and simpler to wipe off the Teflon sheet.Second, some transfer times and temperatures are very close to the scorch point of fabrics. A Teflon cover sheet helps to prevent possible scorching

Nomex Felt - Nomex is a fire resistant material, made by DuPont, that is used only when doing tiles to prevent damging the rubber pad on your heat press.

Tiles have a beveled edge that requires more pressure to acheive a consistant image. Doing tiles without using felt will eventually damage the rubber pad attached to your heat press by compressing a permenent "dent" in it. Your other items will not have even pressure where you did your tiles on the press.
